π§ Core Principles
- Scrux is a competitive, skill-based game.
- Ignorance of the rules is NOT a defence.
- Moderators will always act in what they believe is the best interest of the game.
Moderators do not invent rules, but they do have discretion to act in the moment when behaviour is harmful or unfair.
All discretionary actions are reviewed by other moderators through the ticket system.
Moderators are here to keep the game fair β not to punish people for no reason.
If you approach staff respectfully, explain your side honestly and accept when you may be in the wrong, your issue will almost always be resolved faster.
Swearing at staff, lying, arguing aggressively or trying to twist situations only slows everything down and can turn a small issue into a bigger one.
Sometimes the best thing to do is simply take the hit, trust that we are trying to be fair, and you will usually be back in-game or unmuted quickly.
π€ Cross-Teaming / X-Teaming
Cross-teaming (X-Teaming) is when you:
- Help another team gain mass in Team Mode.
- Sabotage your own team.
- Protect or assist players outside your team.
This is judged case-by-case by experienced moderators.
Moderator judgement is final.
Soft Teaming
The community is small and many players have friends on other teams.
- You may greet or briefly interact with friends.
- You may only feed or βdanceβ with friends when no enemies are nearby.
- If enemies are present, they must be treated as enemies.
Use common sense.
𧨠Virus & Third-Virusing Rules
Third-virusing occurs when two teams are fighting and a third team shoots viruses in a way that unfairly shifts the outcome.
- Viruses must be used in a way that clearly benefits your own team.
- You may not randomly virus hoping your team gains from it.
- This rule applies even when your team is involved in the fight.
Virus Defence
- If someone viruses you first, you may shoot back the equivalent amount only.
- You may not fake-load viruses to bait others into defending.
Pretending to virus people to force mistakes is abuse of the rule.
π Alt Accounts, Tabs & Botting
You may NOT use:
- Alt accounts or guest accounts to feed yourself.
- Multiple tabs to gain mass or EXP.
- Alts to bypass punishments or protections.
This is considered botting / cheating / hacking.
π Exploits & Abuse
Abuse of bugs or unintended mechanics is taken extremely seriously.
- Bug or glitch abuse
- Physics or desync abuse
- Cooldown bypassing
- Forcing lag or instability
- Map-edge or freeze exploits
Report exploits immediately.
Failure to do so or abusing them may lead to permanent bans.
π‘ Network, VPN & Multi-Account Abuse
- VPN or proxy usage to evade punishment
- IP or device bypassing
- Mass-account creation
- Evading phone verification
These behaviours may result in permanent bans.
π’ Advertising
Advertising is not allowed.
This includes:
- Posting or promoting other games repeatedly.
- Sending Discord links, websites or servers.
- Asking multiple players to join another game.
Casually mentioning another game is fine β
advertising behaviour, patterns or intent will be punished.
This is to protect the community and prevent scams.
π¬ Chat & Behaviour
Chat is heavily based on moderator discretion.
Punishable behaviour includes:
- Racism, hate speech or slurs
- Harassment, bullying or provoking players or staff
- Threats or encouraging self-harm
- Spam or disruptive behaviour
Even if not listed, causing disruption or drama can still be punished.
π Reports & Tickets
- You may not report on behalf of others. The person affected must submit the ticket themselves.
- Abuse of the
/reportcommand is taken very seriously. - False or spam reports waste staff time and may result in punishment.
β Punishment Structure
There is no fixed ladder of punishments.
Moderators use discretion based on history, severity and context.
Possible outcomes include:
- Warning
- Temporary mute
- Temporary ban
- Permanent ban
Past behaviour and attitude matter.
π Evidence-Based Moderation
All punishments are supported by:
- Server logs
- Behaviour patterns
- Device & connection fingerprinting
- Moderator observation
Appeals without evidence will be rejected.
π§ Final Note
Scrux is not Agar.io.
It is not Roogar.
It is not any other clone.
Scrux has its own rules, its own culture, and its own standards.
Follow the rules, treat people with respect, and you will always be welcome here.
